A deposit of £50 or 40% per room per night should made as soon as possible after making your reservation. alternatively if booked through a booking website e.g Expedia, Hotels.com, payment is subject to their booking terms. We are able to accept card payments over the phone, invoices can be sent by email, which can be paid by card. Payment can be made by internet banking (BACS)preferredor by Cheque
For bookings made on-line, guests should refer to the terms and conditions applicable to the specific website through which the booking was made. For bookings made directly with us, in the event of cancellation more than 7 days prior to arrival the deposit is fully refundable. If you have to cancel within 5 days of arrival the deposit is fully refundable unless we are unable to re-let the accommodation. We recommend considering insurance to cover the unexpected!
N.B. REFUNDS when payment has been made for a deposit or booking by credit or debit card, we reserve the right to charge a small cancellation fee, to cover the costs incurred by the bank or card processing organisation for the refund.
The balance is payable on departure. We accept most major credit and debit cards as well as cash, cheque or email invoice
Downton Lodge is an adult property only therefore children will only be accepted by arrangement.
We’re sorry we do not accept pets in our first floor B & B rooms, But we do have a dedicated ground floor room, known as our "Garden Room" which is pet-friendly, it is accessed externally from a small fenced courtyard, please enquire. Pets are also allowed in our Self Catering Barn, please enquire
Downton Lodge is a non-smoking house.
We will assume guests will arrive sometime between 3pm and 6pm unless alternative arrangements have been agreed. It is helpful to us to be updated regarding your arrival time, this can be done by a text or voice call to our mobile number 07860725188
To enable us to prepare thoroughly for our next guests we would ask that rooms are vacated by 10.30am on the day of departure.
