A tranquil retreat

Beautiful place to stay
We stayed here for two nights in the garden room, Andrew and Martin were attentive, welcoming and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was the ‘garden room’ , it was immaculate, spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed, and a fabulous interior and bathroom. Every little detail was to perfection. Our first night was very quiet and peaceful, the second night, there were guests in the room above us and we could hear them moving around quite clearly. This does not detract from the beauty of Downton Lodge. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious. If we were ever in the Dartmouth area again, we would have no reservations about staying here again. .
